The most important Islamic festival is Tabaski, also known as the fête du mouton , commemoration the story of Abraham and his willingness to sacrifice his son Isaac to God. Tenkodogo

This is my home town which is 183 km southeast of Ouagadougou. It is the birthplace of the Mossi empire- even the town’s name backs up its status, combining the Moore words tenga, meaning land, and kodogo , meaning old.
